What size should my source image be?

Use at least 260×260px square for the best quality across all output sizes. The generator scales down proportionally.

Does it preserve transparency?

Yes — PNG source images with transparency produce transparent output. JPG source images will have a solid background.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The entire generation process happens on your device using HTML canvas.
